Is Arenas
At almost six kilometres long, the beach of Is Arenas is one of the longest and most beautiful in the Oristano province. It’s name refers to the presence of large dunes, the largest in Sardinia.
Mandriola
Mandriola is found in the locality of the same name in the municipal area of San Vero Milis. The beach has fine, white sand which alternates with areas of stones and rocks. The beach of Mandriola has few visitors and is characterised by areas covered in posidonia.
Mari Ermi
Mari Ermi offers the tourist a long beach of bright white quartz, with areas of fine, ochre coloured sand.
Is Arutas
The particular beach of Is Arutas, that stretches quite a few hundred meters, owes its peculiarity to its sand, made up of small, round quartz grains, with colours that vary, in stretches, from pink to light-green to white.
Maimoni
The beach of Maimoni, like the nearby beach of Is Arutas, has the unparalleled combination of very-light coloured sand and pink and white quartz pebbles, of myriad hues, that embellish it and make it unique.
Su Pallosu
Su Pallosu is found in the locality of the same name in the municipal area of San Vero Milis. The beach has coarse, light-coloured sand with greyish hues, along with pebbles along the water’s edge.
Putzu Idu
The beach, surrounded by the salt pans that are immediately found to its rear, and stretched between S’Arena Scoada and Mandriola, is received as a long and narrow very pleasant beach.
S’Archittu
S’Archittu is found in the locality of the same name, in the municipal area of Cuglieri.
S'Arena Scoada
S'Arena Scoada is found in the locality of the same name in the municipal area of San Vero Milis. The beach has very fine, white sand which alternates with areas of tiny fragments of multicoloured quartz, stones and smooth rocks.
Sa Mesa Longa
Sa Mesa Longa is found in the locality of Putzu Idu in the municipal area of San Vero Milis. The sand on the beach is averagely coarse and reddish yellow in colour, and also contains pinkish fragments at the water’s edge and areas of smooth rock.
Sa Rocca Tunda
Sa Rocca Tunda is found in the locality of the same name in the municipal area of San Vero Milis. The beach has light-coloured sand with greyish hues. The narrow beach, surrounded by low dunes covered in vegetation, opens out onto a very limpid, crystalline sea.
San Giovanni di Sinis
On the edge of the Sinis peninsula we find the bathing locality of San Giovanni, once famous for the characteristic fishermen’s huts built in wood and rush, of which a few remain to the east of the main road, not far from the Punic excavations of Tharros.
Santa Caterina di Pittinuri
The small beach, within an evocative bay between Punta Cagaragas and the promontory of the Pittinuri tower, among very light-coloured calcareous rock cliffs, is one of the most famous in the Oristano area, enriched by the presence of caves and ravines of rare beauty.
